Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Schell was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 22, 1986. She called her family and told them she had no money. After that, she never spoke to them again and all her family's calls to her went unanswered.
Her vehicle was subsequently found abandoned in Los Angeles, California. Few details are available in Schell's case. She is missing under unknown circumstances.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons.
