He had lived in the Orange Court Motor Lodge for fifteen years. He is originally from Lexington, Kentucky, was retired at the time of his disappearance and has no known relatives. After his disappearance, his room was found undisturbed. He was not reported missing until January 2. Spencer enjoyed going for walks and visited SeaWorld daily at the time of his disappearance, taking a bus to get there. Authorities believe he possibly left his home for a walk and had a heart attack. Few details are available in his case, but he is presumed dead.
