Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Munhofen is from Germany and was vacationing in the United States at the time of his disappearance; he arrived on May 24, 2013. He was last seen in Great Falls, Montana on June 6. On July 5, nearly a month later, his vehicle was found abandoned at the Missouri River Breaks in a remote area in Fergus County, northeast of Lewistown. An extensive search of that area turned up no sign of him. His case remains unsolved.
