Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Valentine lived in Evensville, Tennessee at the time of her disappearance. She lived in the 300 block of Medlin Pike with her boyfriend, Robert Doyle Eatmon, who was always referred to by his middle name. Her driver's license was indefinitely suspended and she usually walked or got rides with acquaintances to get where she needed to go.
On April 29, 2017, Eatmon was arrested for domestic assault on Valentine, and on May 18, he was arrested again for possession of handguns. In May, Valentine had contact with her daughter; this is the last time her daughter heard from her.
The police came to Valentine's home on May 29th and again on June 10, in response to reports of violations of the no-contact order she had against Eatmon. O July 10, they went to Valentine's house in response to a noise complaint on July 10, and they had contact with Valentine at this time.
Eatmon was arrested on July 11, was released from jail that same day, and moved to Florida. Before he left, he gave one of his vehicles, a green GMC Jimmy, to his landlord to cover back rent. The landlord sold it and used the money to pay the debt; he sent the rest, $80, to Eatmon in Florida.
July 10, the day the police visited Valentine's home and spoke to her, is the last time anyone is confirmed to have seen her. Most of her relatives live in Florida and it wasn't uncharacteristic of her to go for a few months without contacting them. Her daughter reported her missing on October 12.
The circumstances of Valentine's disappearance are unclear, but her loved ones believe she's in danger. Her case remains unsolved.

September 2021 updates and sources

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 25% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. Several organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and imAge at the time of disappearance: s of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.
