Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Verdell was last seen in Camden, New Jersey on March 3, 1979. He asked his mother for some money that morning, and she gave him a few dollars. He left and has never been heard from again.
Verdell was discharged from the U.S. military shortly before his disappearance. Few details are available in his case.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known.
