Description, clothing, jewerly and more : A tan suede shirt or jacket with a green collar, and white sneakers with pink trim at the soles and tongue.
Medical conditions : Helm has diabetes and is supposed to take medication to control the condition; she doesn't have the medicine with her.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Some Age at the time of disappearance: ncies spell Helm's name "Maryalice." Her ears are pierced.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Helm was last seen in Placer County, California on January 16, 2007. She was in the KearsAge at the time of disappearance: Mill Court area near the Drum Forebay exit of Interstate 80 at the time. She apparently went for a walk and never returned. She has never been heard from again. Helm was house-sitting at the time of her disappearance. The house's owners reported her as a missing person when they were unable to find her.
Helm did not take extra clothing, her vehicle, her purse or her medicine with her when she went missing. She has family and friends in the Sacramento, California area, but none of them have seen her since two days prior to her disappearance. Helm has two children. She enjoying going for walks in 2007. Foul play is not suspected in her disappearance, but she is believed to be in danger. Her case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2�5% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
